6th Class Visit to Tesco – Stronger Cooks Programme 🛒👩‍🍳

Some of our Sixth Class pupils had a fantastic opportunity to visit Tesco as part of the Tesco Stronger Cooks programme. The girls enjoyed a guided tour of the store, seeing everything from how Click and Collect works to what goes on behind the scenes in the bakery. 

They also took part in some fruit tasting and got the chance to use scanners to shop for ingredients to make a meal — all while sticking to a virtual budget of €20! 

The girls were brilliant throughout and really enjoyed their trip. A huge thank you to Tesco for welcoming us and for providing such a fun and educational experience for our pupils! 🙌

Tree detectives!

 

As part of the Heritage in Schools programme, Mary visited and introduced to us the variety of nature in our environment. She taught us about the native trees and plants on our school grounds and we did some outdoor activities and games. We really enjoyed this learning experience!

Smiles and medals all round!

Congratulations to Annabell McDonagh who came 9th in the U13 3000m All-Ireland Athletics race recently, with her club ‘Annalee AC’. 

She also received a gold medal as she helped the Ulster Team come 1st overall!
